● About Me

Who I am?

Hi!I am Noria! A service-oriented illustrator who creates thoughtful, illustration driven visual solutions for cultural, educational, and community contexts, working across freelance projects, institutional teams, and children’s art education

Positioning and Career Direction

Positioning

My practice is centered on service-based illustration, combining illustration, graphic design thinking, and an educational mindset to create visual solutions for real-world contexts. I do not see illustration as an isolated art form, but as a communication tool that helps information become clearer, more approachable, and emotionally engaging

Career Direction

Rather than limiting my career to a single working model, I aim to build a balanced and sustainable structure. Alongside freelance illustration and visual design projects, I am also interested in working within art institutions, cultural organizations, educational settings, or creative teams, where I can contribute to long-term projects and collaborative environments. In addition, I plan to continue developing my practice in children’s art education, which plays an important role in shaping how I think about illustration and audience engagement

Skills

Services and Professional Skills

I offer illustration-driven visual services, including:

  • Illustration and poster design for events, exhibitions, and public projects

  • Informational and educational illustration for cultural and learning contexts

  • Illustration-based visual systems for campaigns, programs, or communication materials

  • Early-stage visual support, including concept development, sketching, and direction testing

My approach focuses on understanding project goals and audience needs, then using illustration to strengthen clarity, emotional connection, and visual coherence.

Education
Bachelor of Illustration, Sheridan College
Minor in Creative Leadership

Children’s Art Education and Teaching Practice

Alongside my design and illustration work, I plan to remain actively involved in children’s art education. Through teaching and assisting in art studios, I aim to support children in developing observation skills, imagination, and confidence through drawing.

I view teaching not only as a professional opportunity, but also as a practice that informs my illustration work. Direct interaction with children helps me better understand how young audiences respond to visual language, which strengthens my approach to educational and child-focused illustration projects.
